Fluent Flow
Fluency through real conversations, not flashcards.
Founder. AI-powered language learning that helps students practice communication through interactive, guided workflows. Built for modern, consistent fluency.
Overview
Fluent Flow is an AI-powered language-learning product focused on the thing every other app skips: real conversations. Instead of streak-driven flashcards, learners run through guided AI dialogues — ordering food, debating, interviewing — and get feedback on pronunciation, phrasing, and confidence.
The story
I watched friends grind Duolingo for years and still freeze the moment someone actually spoke to them in the language. The gap between 'I can recognize words' and 'I can hold a conversation' is the entire product. Fluent Flow is built around closing it, and I'm building it in public on LinkedIn so the people who'd actually use it shape what gets shipped.
Who it's for
The problem
Most language apps gamify rote memorization but fail at the thing that matters: real, unscripted communication. Learners plateau because they never get reps in the situations they actually care about.
Approach
AI-driven conversational workflows that simulate real scenarios — ordering food, debating, interviewing. Guided practice loops with feedback on pronunciation, phrasing, and confidence. Building in public on LinkedIn with weekly updates.
What I built
- Conversational AI workflows for real-life scenarios
- Pronunciation + phrasing feedback loop
- Build-in-public LinkedIn updates every week
Outcome
Building in public — first LinkedIn post crossed thousands of impressions and surfaced real waitlist interest from learners and language teachers.
Highlights
- Conversation-first, not vocabulary-first
- AI feedback on pronunciation + phrasing
- Building in public — weekly LinkedIn updates
Reflections
The feedback model matters more than the conversation generator. People will tolerate awkward AI dialogue if the corrections are sharp; they won't tolerate vague feedback no matter how polished the chat feels.
