Vibe Coding — Lovable Shipped S1

21st of 5,800+ at Lovable's biggest global build season.
21st of 5,800+ overall · 2nd in U.S. East · two $250 builder grants · two week-regional runner-up finishes.
Overview
Lovable Shipped S1 was Lovable's largest global build season: 5,800+ builders shipping every week, regional rankings, multi-week leaderboards. I finished 21st globally, 2nd in U.S. East, took 2× regional runner-up weeks, and earned two $250 builder grants.
The story
The interesting question for me wasn't 'can I win' — it was whether a high-school solo builder could hold a top-tier ranking against 5,800+ people for multiple weeks. The answer turned out to be yes, but only because I optimized brutally for shipping cadence over feature ambition. Every project was scoped to fit a weekly window.
Who it's for
The problem
Could a high-school solo builder hold against 5,800+ global competitors over a multi-week shipping season?
Approach
Shipped weekly, iterated on feedback, leaned on speed + polish. Finished 21st globally, 2nd in U.S. East, two regional runner-up weeks, two $250 builder grants.
What I built
- Multiple weekly ship projects on Lovable
- Iterated based on regional + global leaderboard feedback
- Polished demos + writeups every week
Outcome
21st of 5,800+ globally, 2nd in U.S. East, 2× $250 builder grants, 2× week-regional runner-up finishes.
Highlights
- 21st of 5,800+ globally
- 2nd in U.S. East region
- 2× $250 builder grants
- 2× week-regional runner-up
Reflections
Cadence > ambition. The projects I scoped down ranked higher than the ones I tried to make bigger.
