WeBuyBack

Voice-powered resale — list something in seconds, not minutes.
Builder. Peer-to-peer resale platform that grew out of a voice-powered listing idea. 500+ guest signups, 100+ users, 1,000+ X followers — all from hands-on marketing.
Overview
WeBuyBack is a peer-to-peer resale platform with a voice-first listing flow. Instead of typing out a title, description, and price, you talk to your phone and the listing writes itself. The wedge is speed: most people abandon Marketplace or eBay listings halfway through.
The story
The idea came from my uncle — he kept saying 'why can't I just talk to it?' after giving up on listing the same item for the third time. I prototyped a voice-to-listing flow over a weekend, and the demo was sticky enough that I kept going. The whole growth motion has been hands-on: X threads, community DMs, and building in public.
Who it's for
The problem
Listing on Facebook Marketplace or eBay takes forever: photos, titles, descriptions, pricing. Most people give up before posting.
Approach
Started from an idea pitched by my uncle: what if you could just talk to your phone and the listing wrote itself? Built a voice-first listing flow on top of a peer-to-peer resale marketplace. Marketing was all hands-on — X threads, community DMs, building in public.
What I built
- Voice-powered listing flow (record → structured listing)
- Peer-to-peer marketplace + guest signup funnel
- Hands-on growth via X threads + community DMs
Outcome
500+ guest signups, 100+ active users, 1,000+ X followers from organic build-in-public content.
Highlights
- 500+ guest signups, 100+ active users
- 1,000+ X followers from organic build-in-public posts
- Voice-to-listing flow as the core wedge
Reflections
Voice as a wedge works when typing is the actual bottleneck. The harder problem is matching supply to demand once listings exist — that's where I'm focused next.
